Bosch is a creative visionary with a deep passion for fashion, styling, and taxidermy. As a child, she always dreamed of a future in the creative field. In her work, her knowledge, experience, and creativity in taxidermy, craftsmanship, styling, and design consulting come together.
Bosch has been inspired by the inner beauty of butterflies her entire life—their shapes, colors, and fragility. What began as a hobby working with butterflies as a taxidermist has grown into a full-fledged passion over the years.
With her love for detail and her keen eye, she strives to bring butterflies back to life through beautiful stories and themes, using the finest materials and the latest techniques.
On a spiritual level, the butterfly symbolizes change, freedom, love, and the transformation of life’s quality. For Bosch, the butterfly represents the blossoming of spiritual life’s quality. She considers it a privilege to work with butterflies and bring their stories to life in the form of art.
All butterflies Bosch works with are sourced from butterfly farms that help preserve precious rainforests by providing ethical income for locals—offering them an alternative to logging or exploiting the forests. In many cases, breeding insects to sell is the only incentive for indigenous people to preserve their surrounding environment.
On these butterfly farms, the percentage of eggs that eventually hatch into butterflies is as high as 95%. Farms also release up to 20% of each generation back into the wild, helping to sustain the insects in their natural habitat.
Pristine tropical rainforests are disappearing at an alarming rate. More than half have vanished over the past 40 years, making rainforest preservation vital.
Bosch is a member of the IABES (International Association of Butterfly Exhibitors and Suppliers) http://www.iabes.org. Bosch does not use endangered butterfly species in her work.
